NASA launches space communications satellite - PhotoBlog

An Atlas V 401 rocket streaks into the sky from the Cape Canaveral launch pad in Florida on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013. The spacecraft carries NASA's Tracking and Data Relay Satellite-K (TDRS-K) into orbit. According to NASA the TDRS-K spacecraft is part of the next-generation series in the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System, a constellation of space-based communication satellites providing tracking, telemetry, command and high-bandwidth data return services.?
