Bradley Patterson was kicked off the University of North Alabama football team after posting a racist remark about the President to Twitter on Sunday night.?

A college football player in Alabama was kicked off his team for tweeting racist remarks about President Obama during his televised address to grieving families in Newtown, Conn., on Sunday night.

NBC cut away from Sunday Night Football?s 49ers-Patriots game to show Obama?s moving speech to the families affected by the Sandy Hoook school massacre.

?Take that n---- off the tv, we want to watch football!? former University of North Alabama long-snapper Bradley Patterson wrote from his account, 2A_HogOfTheYear.

Patterson was an uninvited walk-on, meaning coaches did not encourage him to try out.

He joined the team in the fourth week of the season and had not played in a game, UNA officials said.

UNA officials said he was booted from the team for violating the school?s social media policy, the Times Daily newspaper reported. ?

Patterson?s account has since been deactivated.

Patterson, of Red Bay, in northwestern Alabama near the Mississippi border, wasn?t the only one to tweet vile remarks about Obama?s address.

Sports blog Deadspin published dozens of tweets from people who were angry about missing football. ?
